Last week, during a Miami stop on the “Suicide Squad” publicity tour, Smith busted out an impromptu rendition of his 1997 hit named after the Florida city. And he seemed to like the results, because he’s done it again.

On Tuesday, Smith visited “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” to promote his new super-villain team-up film, in theaters Friday. As Colbert went to a commercial break during Smith’s interview, bandleader Jon Batiste launched into an instrumental version of Smith’s “Summertime.”
Smith, for his part, couldn’t help himself and ran over to the band, grabbed a mic and began serenading the audience with the song, leading them in a singalong.
Luckily, the show’s cameras knew to keep rolling during the break.

If you want to feel old, “Summertime” was the first single off DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince’s “Homebase” album, released 25 years ago this past May.
